Black was my monthly theme for July. I’m normally a colorful photographer, but since black is devoid of color, it was an interesting challenge. I’ve found that it has a formal, mysterious vibe that’s fun to portray in photos.
Some facts about black: Did you know that black tends to make people feel more confident, mature, and powerful? That’s one of the reasons tuxedos, limousines, and judge’s robes are all typically black. It even makes the wearer appear thinner and more sophisticated. Truly a self-empowering color!
