Behind the Scenes with Fred the Frog

Fred the Frog & I have something special for you: A behind the scenes look at the setup for Fred’s Flower Series.

All these photographs are taken outside. Natural light is my favorite because flowers (and Fred) look really good in it. The backgrounds are usually colorful 22×28 Poster Board purchased at my local dollar store. In this series, I pose Fred without the use of string and editing. The angle of the camera (or his eyes and arms) are moved into certain positions to give him different expressions. Sometimes he’s able to hold the flowers on his own. Other times I may use tape to attach them to his hands. He doesn’t seem to mind. 😛

Oh and before I forget, the flower is called a bougainvillea. It almost looks like a flower within a flower. Kind of like how this is a photo of a photo being taken. It’s “frog-ception!” 😀
