City/Fan notes...
Oakland (Market
Size: Average) - is the Bay Area's and probably America's most
diverse city and undervalued cultural center. If nothing else, you can
simply enjoy the best weather in the country. It is called "Oakland"
because it is heavily populated with oak trees.
Although Oakland is often overshadowed by tourist-friendly San
Francisco across the bay, Oakland offers both the best and the worst of
the Bay Area. Oakland boasts some interesting, if somewhat eccentric,
shopping districts. Oakland is constituted of a number of very
distinct, village-like neighborhoods, all of which host a heady mix of
cultures and peoples.
Marvel fans are marvelous to their
ballclub, provided the club puts an excellent product on the field. The
fans will back a winner, but tend to find other things to do during
tough times. Pennant runs bring the fans out in droves as they deck their cars, windows and porches with team pennants.
