City/Fan notes...
Miami (Market
Size: Big) - has the largest Latin American population
outside of Latin America, with nearly 65% of its population either from
Latin America or of Latin American ancestry.
Miami’s dining scene reflects burgeoning diversity, mixing exotic
newcomer restaurants with long-standing institutions, often seasoned by
Latin influence and hot winds of the Caribbean. New World cuisine, a
culinary counterpart to accompany Miami’s New World Symphony, provides
a loose fusion of Latin, Asian, and Caribbean flavors utilizing fresh,
area-grown ingredients.
Of course, if you're in Miami, you'll want to spend some time on the
beach. Miami Beach is on a barrier reef across the Biscayne Bay, and
it's sandy, sunny beaches from party-hearty South Beach continues
all the way up north along the coast of Florida. As Miami has pretty
temperate weather, the beaches will be active all year round, but the
water will usually be too cold to swim in the winter.
Corsairs fans love their team and
take their baseball very seriously. They cheer hard and display little
toleration for visiting teams. They pride themselves on making it very
uncomfortable for the enemy ballclub with what many players consider
the loudest boos in the Metros.
