Ballpark notes... (Dimensions: LFL-315, LF-338, LC-370, CF-435, RC-377, RF-360, RFL-326 / Capacity: 41K)

A jewel in the crown of the majestic downtown Phoenix skyline, Strickland Park has become a welcome home for the Phoenix Cobras. The downtown ballpark boasts classic architecture for a nostalgic baseball atmosphere.

Three wall heights, various angles in the corners and power alleys, a 30-degree, uphill slope - "Tal's Hill" - for a center field warning track, and a flag pole in the field of play create unique actions for any ball that gets past an outfielder.

Day games start at 1pm. Night games start at 7pm.

City/Fan notes...

Phoenix (Market Size: Above Average) - was a center of the Hohokam culture, which built large canal systems and a network of towns and villages, whose remains may be viewed in the city to this day. White settlers discovered the remnants of the Hohokam culture in the 19th century. The city's name reflects its history as a city "reborn from the ashes" of the previous settlement.

Phoenix has an arid climate with long, hot summers and very mild winters. It has the highest average temperature of any metropolitan area in the States. The weather varies enormously from one season to the next. Warm and sunny winter weather also ensures a thriving tourism industry, and encourages many Easterners and Midwesterners to relocate to Phoenix.

Phoenix as a metropolitan area offers a considerable amount of nightlife, though the city is spread out and the nightlife is centered around the sub-cities of the metro area.

Cobra fans are well known for their loyal support of their team. They sell out all games during winning and losing seasons. Each year the Phoenix Cobras invite the local Phoenix area fans to a fan appreciation day. They call it Fan Fest. There are autograph sessions, photograph sessions, ballpark tours, giveaways and more.
