Capture Metro Bowl Title!
 The Musketeers passed their way to 28-21 comeback
victory over the Cyclones to capture their first Metro Bowl championship
title. This game was a tale of two halves. The first half saw an impressive
offensive display. After both clubs traded early touchdowns the Cyclones
quickly established their running game and took a commanding 21-7 lead. But,
in the 2nd quarter the Musketeers revved up their passing attack and exploded
for 3 passing TD's, two off deep strikes, to take a stunning 28-21 halftime
lead. However, the second half gave way to a gritty defensive struggle. Both
defenses held ground and there would be no more scoring the rest of the way.
The Cyclones had a chance to tie the game, with less than two minutes left,
but turned the ball over on downs. The Musketeers held the ball and ran out
the clock after that. The Marbro offensive line played superb as they gave
up no sacks. But, the defense collected three sacks. The Musketeers passed
for 396 yards, 4 TD's and rushed for 144 yards. Next, they travel home for
a parade through downtown Marbro....
