Dominate... Are CHAMPS!
 The Eastern champ, Cape City Corsairs, became Metro
Bowl champions with a 24-8 defeat of the Brandenburg Brahmas. This game was
all Corsairs from start to finish. The first half was a tight defensive struggle,
but the Corsairs managed to open a 10-0 lead by halftime. Then, in the third
quarter, the Corsairs extended their lead with two quick touchdowns. One
of the TD's came on a lightning strike that knocked the Brahmas further back
on their heels. Although Brandenburg was able to move the ball they were
unable to score for three straight quarters. Also, twice they were baited
into throwing foolish drive stalling interceptions. As a result, Brandenburg
seemed to lose heart as the savvy Cap City defense asserted itself for most
of the game. The Corsairs passed for 132 yards, 2 TD's and rushed for 267
yards and 1 TD. Next, they travel home to celebrate with their fans in a
parade through downtown Cape City....
