Win Title in Over Time!
 The Dunberry Dragons took down the high-powered
Bay City Comets 28-21 in this overtime thriller. The Dragons scored first,
but then both teams scored on back-to-back kick returns. The score was tied
14-14 by halftime. Both defenses dug in and held ground thru the third quarter.
Then, late in the 4th quarter the Comets broke through with a pass that was
taken 98 yard for what should have been a game breaking TD. However, Dunberry
threw a haymaker of their own when they tied the score on a 47 yard strike
that would take the game into overtime. The Comets won the toss, but neither
team were able to sustain a drive on their first possession. Then, the Comets
began to connect on passes and drove deep into Dunberry territory. But, they
stunned thair fans when they threw the ball away on a silly interception
that gave the ball back to Dunberry. Next, the Dragons put together a spectacular
drive that featured a series of solid runs and penetrating passes that culminated
in a 3 yard TD run late in overtime. It would prove the winning drive as
the Comets were unable to engineer a comeback. The Dragons passed for 253
yards, 1 TD and rushed for 206 yards and 2 TDs. This capped a phenomenal
season for the Dragons as they win their second Metro Bowl title in franchise
history. Next, they travel home to party with their frenzied fans on Main
