RECAP: For
Crestfield, the 5-8-0 finish came from a year that mixed real promise
with missed opportunities. Offensively, QB Frank Ramsey posted 2039
passing yards, 16 touchdowns, 4 interceptions; HB Bobby Bruney (R)
posted 648 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns; and WR Johnny Symank
posted 49 catches for 625 yards, 3 touchdowns. On defense, LILB/MLB
Eddie Hayhurst posted 83 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 3 sacks. The
victories over St. Patrick, Market City, and St. Cruze were worth
remembering, but defeats against Brandenburg and Newport Bay made the
climb tougher.
