SEASON RECAP: Gateway built a season around competitiveness more than comfort, closing at 4-9-0. Offensively, QB Keith Van Brocklin posted 2913 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, 9 interceptions; HB Lenard Mallory posted 455 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown; and WR Sean Whitcomb posted 68 catches for 916 yards, 5 touchdowns. Taking down Sterling, Metropolis, and Brandenburg gave the club proof of concept, but losses to Rivermount and Cape City left too much ground to recover.
