SEASON RECAP: Sterling had the look of a spoiler more than a steady contender, ending the regular season at 7-6-0. Offensively, QB Norm Schafer posted 2799 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, 5 interceptions; HB Darren Modzelewski posted 799 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns; and WR Davis Strother posted 61 catches for 711 yards, 10 touchdowns. On defense, SS Brent Curry posted 81 tackles, 3 interceptions. Defeating Seaside, Rivermount, and Market City gave the club a boost, but losses to Gateway and Silver Bay left the team flat.
