QUICK RECAP: Season 3
The
Cape City Corsairs gave the Metropolitan its clearest regular-season
marker, while the Gotham Bulldogs and the Easton Barons remained part
of the chase. Across the Cosmopolitan, the Oakdale Nightbirds held the
edge while the River Heights Warriors and the Gateway Colonials stayed
firmly in the playoff picture. The postseason narrowed behind the
Oakdale Nightbirds, whose wins over the Rivermount Kodiaks and the
River Heights Warriors carried the team into the title game. The Metro
Bowl ended with the Cape City Corsairs securing the title against the
Oakdale Nightbirds, giving the franchise its first league championship.
Meanwhile, the Oakdale Nightbirds lost a second consecutive Metro Bowl.
