QUICK RECAP: Season 4
The
Newport Bay Cyclones carried the strongest regular-season profile in
the Metropolitan, with the Gotham Bulldogs and the Dunberry Dragons
close enough to keep pressure on the conference lead. The Cosmopolitan
followed with the Metropolis Monarchs in front, but the Bay City Comets
and the Oakdale Nightbirds helped keep the race active deep into the
season. The Oakdale Nightbirds became the postseason’s main mover,
winning road games over the Bay City Comets and the Metropolis Monarchs
before reaching the Metro Bowl. The season’s last result belonged to
the Gotham Bulldogs, who got past the Oakdale Nightbirds in the Metro
Bowl, giving the franchise its first league championship. Meanwhile,
the Oakdale Nightbirds lost a third consecutive Metro Bowl.
